in the Daytona Beach News Journal 9-8-2006 - ORANGE CITY - James R. Barrett,
74, of Florida Avenue, a city engineer for the city of Orlando, died Wednesday
at home. Mr. Barrett, an Army veteran of
the Korean War, was born in Pelham GA and came here in 1949 from Georgia. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing,
boating and camping. Survivors include
his wife of 54 years, Theo; a son James of Cocoa; two daughters Betty Mantero, Orange City, and Deborah Jackson, Deltona; four
brothers, Lawrence, Perry, FL; Thomas, Perry, FL; Kenneth, Apopka, FL; and
Robert, Charleston, SC; a sister, Jo Ann Miller, Millington, TN; and four
grandchildren. Baldauff
